Totally unnecessary sequel that merges innovative and stupid humor that is occasionally fun but often misses the mark. Mediocre CGI, sloppy story make a movie that will leave your best side behind. Not even John Landis could have made a good sequel (see Beverley Hills Cop III, Blues Brothers 2000)

After the great success of An American Werewolf in London (1981), it was strangely enough only 15 years later for a version to take place in Paris. plays. The film is a true horror comedy that you better not compare with the London original.

With a light-hearted but acceptable approach, nice characters and very nice locations, the film is definitely worth watching. The film seems to have been made for a relatively young audience. The movie is not very scary. The humor that is quite nice is a bit infantile and bland. On the other hand, the film does have some brutal scenes that contradict its light-hearted tenor.

The budget consisted of a respectable amount of 22 million dollars. Apparently too meager a sum to bring the wolves to life with decent effects. The beasts look very cheap.

Julie Delpy is a fun appearance and a plus. By the way, her appearance initially seems to be an impulse from director Anthony Waller to (as in, for example, the serious Cat People (1982)) a side plot to start with meaning about the animal impulses that lie within us. However, a scene in which an exciting bare-chested Delpy performs sexual acts leads to nothing more than a comical situation. Ah, so be it. Besides, the situation was actually quite funny.

Just don't expect too much. Viewed from a non-critical eye, this is quite an entertaining film.
