A Kiss in Time plot

Although she finds the stiff manner of her fiancé, Robert Ames, unsuitable for her temperament, artist-illustrator Sheila Athlone refuses to illustrate an author's story because of the absurd premise of a girl kissing a man she met only four hours earlier. Author Brian Moore, wanting to prove his point, poses as a butcher's boy and entices her to drive to a rural orchard. His advances are rebuffed until he saves a child from an explosion, and two minutes before the deadline, she lets him kiss her out of admiration for his courage.
