A Kind of Magic plot
Wizard Matt is about to marry Lizzy, even though they don't really love each other. But there is a rule in the family: if you don't get married before the age of 36, you lose your magic powers. When he meets Sara at a Halloween party, it is love at first sight. Sparks immediately fly and the evening ends with a kiss. But then Sara gains all his powers and Matt loses sight of her.
