Good film about a personal assistant of a famous movie star who has had it with him. The structure of this entertaining romcom is somewhat similar to the recently released The Idea of You (although that is more of a romantic drama). Nice developments and the entire cast knows how to make it fun.

24-year-old Zara [Joey King] is personal assistant to actor Chris Cole [Zac Efron], star of the action franchise Icarus Rush and knows his whims all too well. When he meets Zara's widowed mother Brooke [Nicole Kidman], an author with writer's block, a spark is ignited. Zara doesn't know how to deal with the situation, also because she is well aware of Chris' past in the field of love. Carrie Solomon's unremarkable screenplay gets a positive boost from the subdued Efron, a fine supporting role for Kathy Bates as Brooke's ex-mother-in-law and the occasionally hilarious King.

Mediocre rom-com but with great names: Zac Efron and Nicole Kidman. Nicole in particular hasn't been seen in a movie for a long time. Still has the typical sweet, naive appearance that characterizes her. I had the feeling that the years had no influence on her, but there are remedies for that. Furthermore, I thought the chemistry between the two seemed forced. Joey King came across as a bit vulgar and rude at times, but he did provide humor and broke up the lackluster romance between Zac and Nicole. I liked the story, but it was a bit too much like a B-movie. I'm a fan of the genre, but this one just isn't it. The film had more potential. Like the final scene. The only moment where I had to laugh. Must have been like that for the entire movie. That's why I give this 2.5*
