Cabaret dancer Pia Janzen is desperately looking for a home. That's how she meets Hartwig Klemmnitz, who has no shelter either. They get to know each other a little better, although Hartwig wisely keeps quiet that he already has a girlfriend. One day Pia rushes into his work and proposes to him to move in together. She already knows how to get a house: Hartwig has to pose as a high-ranking official.
