5 Millionen Suchen einen Erben plot
Vacuum cleaner salesman Peter Pett will inherit $5 million from his late American uncle if he can prove he is happily married. Actually, this is not a problem, because Peter loves his wife Hix above all else. But the dubious Mr. Blubberboom wants to take the money himself and therefore pits his girlfriend Mabel against Peter. Together they ship Peter to New York after a night of slump. Hix immediately contacts Peter's cousin Patrick, who bears a striking resemblance to him and can trade places with Peter. But Patrick is also immediately after the millions and so further complications and misunderstandings are not long in coming...
