clutter.

So even a non-actress like Jennifer Garner can have a low point. I hope it doesn't get any worse than this for her. In fact, this is just bad for the entire playing time. Cringe-inducing scenes alternate at a rapid pace. The 'Thriller' scene has to be one of the most embarrassing I've ever seen in a movie. The Mark Ruffalo's of this world are walking for asshole in a bad product like this.

Very nice movie.

One of the few rom-coms where the leads have really good chemistry. Was also surprised to see actresses now known as Elizabeth Curran, Brie Larson and Ashley Benson in supporting roles. Once again proof that Larson, except for Room, is not an actress.

Good soundtrack too. Pat Benatar, Rick Springfield, Liz Phair and Michael Jackson.

A film with a premise that I've seen before in Big with Tom Hanks but now from a female perspective. The moral lessons of real friends are more important than popularity is of course around the corner, but nevertheless the film manages to keep it light and entertaining, which is in large part due to the way in which Garner plays her role of Jenna. I'm not a big fan of hers, but she does this very well. Christa Allen, who plays the young version of Jenna, is very similar to Garner.

It is also interesting to see how this film deals with the relationships of the child who is suddenly an adult. While Hanks in Big plunges into romance, which also hints at sex, Garner's character knows absolutely nothing about adult men and sexuality and seems to be more interested in thirteen-year-old boys. In both cases it feels a bit strange, although in a sense the choice this film makes is a bit more innocent.

Furthermore, it is not all pompous or special, just a reasonable film to pass the time. 2.5*.
