"Even a man who hates children and dogs has to love someone."

Film adaptation of Carlotta Monti's book about her time as the mistress of the legendary film comedian. The film spans the years of WC Fields (Rod Steiger) from his days as a comedian on Florence Ziegfeld's Broadway shows to his death from alcohol abuse in 1946.
