"How much time do we have to do something great?"
Jon, an aspiring theater composer who works in ministry, hopes that his next written piece "Superbia" will be the next great American musical and be his big break. Jon feels the pressure of his girlfriend Susan, who is tired of putting her life on hold for him. Meanwhile, his best friend has given up his creative ambitions for a high-paying job and is moving.

Nice at times. Sometimes nice songs, and the whole setup is quite nice. But ultimately a story that didn't interest me, and Garfield has never been my favorite actor. In the end, I thought the movie was just too long. 2.5*.

A somewhat remarkable musical, especially in terms of form (mostly set in a theater), but no less worth watching. Most of the songs sounded nice and even Andrew Garfield pleasantly surprised me.
The story may not be that special, but nevertheless it was not boring either. Don't miss it.

Tick, Tick.. Boom! is a pleasant musical film. I didn't always like the music. It is a lot of text and often quite disjointed. I don't think Andrew Garfield is a bad actor. I didn't know the story of Jonathan Larson at all. I don't know anything about Broadway to be honest. I have to see the movie Rent.
