La Femme et le TGV plot
"Sometimes life seems to pass at 300 km/h"
Elise Lafontaine has a hidden routine: for more than thirty years, she has stood in front of her window every day at 6.18 and 19.13 to wave at the TGV passing by. One day, Elise finds a letter from the driver in her yard and her lonely life is turned upside down. She begins to correspond with the engineer. They tell about each other's world in poetic letters. Elise's fairy tale comes to an end when the TGV from now on takes a shorter route to Paris and no longer visits her. She decides to step out of her comfort zone and look for the driver.
