The Cabinet of Jan Svankmajer plot
In Prague, a professorial puppet with pincers for hands and an open book for a hat takes a boy as his pupil. First, the professor removes lint and toys from the child’s head, leaving him headless for most of the film. Then, the professor teaches the boy about illusions and perspectives, chasing an object by examining a chest of drawers, discovering an object, and the migration of shapes.
