Monsters vs. Aliens plot
"When aliens attack, monsters fight back."
When Susan Murphy from California is hit by a meteor, she grows fifty feet and is immediately labeled a "monster" named Ginormica. The army takes her prisoner in a secret camp. It appears that more samples are being held here over the years. Ginormica is introduced to the brilliant Doctor Cockroach, half-monkey-half-fish The Missing Link, the slippery and indestructible BOB, and a giant caterpillar called Insectosaurus. However, their captivity comes to an unexpected end. Because when Earth is attacked by alien robots, all of humanity's hopes are pinned on the monsters to protect the world.

Fairly nice animation film with quite a few nice jokes I thought as an adult 
The animation itself also looks good for the time it has endured..... the story itself I think is a bit simple, but yes it is largely for the kids

A little less children's entertainment. This movie has a boring story and pretty bland moments. Usually animation films fascinate me a bit, but that was hardly the case here. The characters and monsters are dull.
The background of the monsters is admittedly nicely executed. The film has a few stylishly animated action spectacle scenes and knows how to captivate especially towards the end. You can leave the rest for what it is.
The story simply could have been more. It feels rather unnecessarily childish and dull. You have pretty nice characters, but then you write like that. You're going to be a bit confused there.
