La Montagne Magique plot
Animated documentary about Adam Jacek Winkler (1937-2002), a Polish adventurer, photographer, artist and mountaineer who had fled to France. He was an idealist who has been described as a Don Quixote of the twentieth century. The documentary follows Winkler when he went to Afghanistan in the 1980s to fight in the army against the Soviet Union and climbed Mont Blanc to plant a flag on the top that read "solidarity" as a sign of support for the Afghan people.
