The sultan of Zanzibar has a problem, because his harbor is being terrorized by sharks. The sultan therefore releases 12 hippos in the harbor to chase the sharks away, and the problem is solved. Now that the hippos are no longer needed, the sultan has them slaughtered, all but one: a small hippo named Hugo.
