Hadashi no Gen 2 plot
Three years after the atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, Gen and his adopted brother Ryuta help a group of war orphans. A major hurricane hits the city and wipes out the orphanage. Gen helps the orphans build a new home on an abandoned plot of land. In the meantime, however, his mother's physical condition is rapidly deteriorating.
