Alice the Whaler plot

Alice is on board a ship where the crew consists of all sorts of animals. In the galley, a cat prepares the food while his assistant, a mouse, peels potatoes. When the chef complains that they need eggs, the mouse is called in to fetch them from the crow's nest.
