"Everyone hungers for something."

Before he became the tyrannical president of Panem, Coriolanus Snow grew up as an eighteen-year-old in a family that is being hit hard. He thinks he can turn the tide when he is selected as a mentor for the tenth edition of the Hunger Games. His euphoria proves short-lived when he has to accompany young Lucy Gray. She comes from the impoverished Twelfth District. However, the two seem to get along well.

Different from the previous Hunger Games films, but definitely worth the wait!!

After years of waiting, The Hunger Games is back.

I really loved the film series, so I was really looking forward to this film.

The cast is really very good.

I especially think Rachel Zegler (Lucy Gray) & Tom Blyth (snow) are fantastic!!!

The story follows the book very well. (which is usually not the case with book film adaptations).

Very nice images and a good pace in the film.

Definitely a successful film, for me one of the best of this year.

Better than expected.

I really liked Hunger Games, apart from parts 1 & 2 I expected more.

Then they announced that it was going to be released, but they had a lot of doubts.

But still positively surprised, even if it is without Jennifer Lawrence.

New, but still a good cast.

I knew Rachel Zegler from Shazam and thought her acting was reasonable.

But I really like them in this film.

Music & images in this film are certainly the plus points.

The story, I haven't read the book myself. So I don't really know if they follow the book properly.

But I still think the story is good.

All in all, the 8 year wait is definitely worth it. (Seen in IMAX).

Just got back from this movie and thought it was great. A new cast, but that doesn't make it any less worthwhile. The film consists of three parts, the first two were the best. I have to adjust the fact that the arena in this film is a lot smaller compared to the other films. The long playing time was certainly not boring. After so many years it was a nice reunion and I felt like revisiting the other parts. I think it's highly recommended.

Just saw it in the cinema. Reasonable film, where the beginning is quite cliché, with of course the Arena. That part was very mediocre this time.

The low point is a bossy girl who has a group of cattle for slaughter following her, who do everything she says. Why? No idea...

A leading actress who starts singing when she is in dire need could fit right into a Disney fairy tale.

The last part of the film was a lot better. The parts where Snow is clearly changing are a lot more interesting than just another Arena scene.

All in all, a film that you want to watch because of the last part. Tom Blyth played very well, Dinklage was very good again, but the presenter stole the show (just like in the previous parts)!

3 stars for me.
