Triple Cross plot
Safe-cracker Eddie Chapman has already emptied about 40 safes in his native England when he is arrested on the island of Jersey. He must spend the next 15 years behind bars. It therefore suits him well that the Germans occupied Jersey in 1940. He offers to work as a spy for their secret service.
