"The man of violence in whose place Christ died"
The incredible story of the man who was released when Christ was crucified. A film describing this important period in early Christianity. Barabbas, thief and murderer, is pardoned by the people of Jerusalem. When he is arrested again, he is sentenced to hard labor in the sulfur mines. After many years, he becomes a gladiator in Rome and eventually a free man. He wonders why he escapes death every time.
