"An Action-Packed Expose of Cattle Rustling Today"
Los Angeles, 1949. Newspaper journalist Don Reilly recently married Margie, a photographer employed by the same newspaper. Reilly learns that gangsters led by Boss Morgan are forcing butchers to sell their unlicensed beef. Reilly convinces his editor-in-chief to investigate the matter further. Margie takes him on an investigation that leads them to Herman's ranch. Herman's ranch also serves as the gang's hideout. Then refrigerated trucks with illegal livestock arrive at the ranch.
