Torrente, el Brazo Tonto de la Ley plot
The unsightly police inspector Torrente, also known as 'the stupid arm of the law' is infamous in his hometown of Madrid. From dawn in a heavy state of inebriation, he rips through the city, doing more harm than the crooks he is supposed to catch. For example, the selfish Torrente forces his handicapped father to go out begging for money, he always keeps a low profile in dangerous situations and only arrests small, immigrant petty thieves. Torrente befriends his pathetic boy next door, the heavily bespectacled Rafi, just to marvel at his pretty but vulgar niece. One day he learns of a large drug transport and tries to get the fight of their lives with the dorky Rafi and his no less stupid friends.
