The Mod Squad plot
"First they broke the law. Now they are the law."
The mod squad consists of three screw-ups, which were intercepted by the police at the beginning of their criminal career. They are the beautiful Julie Barnes (ex-drug addict), the stoic Lincoln 'Linc' Barnes (arrested for arson) and the careless loser Peter Cochrane (arrested for theft). The trio was picked up from prison by Captain Adam Greer, who puts them undercover in the Los Angeles nightlife, which is unreachable for the police.
