The Last Ride plot
After his wife is murdered, bank robber Ronnie Purnell (Dennis Hopper) surrenders to the police. After his conviction, he is forced to hand over his son Aaron to a friend named Darryl Kurtz (Fred Ward), also the cop who threw him in jail. Thirty years later, when Ronnie is released, he seeks revenge and goes in search of his old getaway car, a 1969 GTO. His son Aaron (Will Patton) has become a respected police officer and has a somewhat rebellious son Matt (Chris Cormack). . Ronnie tries to team up with his grandson Matt.
