The Last of the Finest plot
"It's time for heroes again."
An elite group is fired from the Los Angeles Police Department for discoveries they made in their war on drugs. It soon becomes apparent that certain bosses are involved and that it is a large corrupt world. Together they collect money for weapons and go after the big boss.

No surprises. Looks like an episode of an 80's TV series. The roles are played by mainly B actors. Dennehy may still be known as the sheriff from the first Rambo, but he never got his career off the ground despite several leading roles in thrillers, including this one. This is all neatly filmed; With Anchia behind the camera they clearly gained a major asset.
The story is very simple: several friendly police officers are suspended after a failed intervention against a gang of drug smugglers, and continue their investigation as civilians. In doing so, they discover that the leader of the gang is a high-ranking official. Thought it was strange that those men behave corruptly towards the end when they steal and hide a load of money from the criminals while Frank then lectures his boss Torres about taking crime money[/spoiler ]. Not really recommended.
