Noll Tolerans plot

During a robbery at a jewelry store, an accidental passer-by is shot dead. The murderer, who can be identified by bystanders as criminal Leo Gaut, manages to escape. At first sight it seems clear to inspector Johan Falk, but in practice this is very disappointing.

The first film in the Johan Falk series, and for me also the first one I’ve seen from this series, and it certainly didn’t disappoint me. I have to admit that I have yet to come across the first bad film of this genre from Sweden. In any case, I thought this one was fine, so I will definitely see the next one as well. The plot was fairly standard, but that didn't detract from the fact that the whole thing remained engaging and was even suspenseful at times. Recommended.

You won't find any gaps in this expertly and tightly directed crime thriller.

I am currently watching the trilogy (DVD box set).

will give a separate review for each episode

1. Zero tolerance (from 1999)

Just watched this one and it looks like every episode is actually a complete movie.

The first episode was just almost 2 hours.

Not that that matters or anything, because it was well worth it.

Those Nordic series are almost always good (I have already seen and reviewed several Swedish series).

This time it is about an old acquaintance, Gaut, who already has quite a bit on his conscience.

a robbery of a jeweler that costs multiple lives

a leak at the police, Johan Falk wrongly suspected, and just going to set things right all by himself.

I am curious about the rest of the trilogy
