Den Tredje Vågen plot

In the new Europe without borders, international crime cartels have defused the security systems to optimize their profitable practices: drugs, prostitution and money laundering. They want to seize economic power in Europe through new partnerships. They always find one man in their path, the terror fighter Johan Falk. A pair of hitmen are deployed to take out Falk and a chase across Europe ensues. The climax takes place in Munich during the violent EU riots.

Story-wise, it is a simple plot in which a counter-terrorism agent faces a group seeking to seize power in Europe. It is a very fast-paced film that flies by at considerable speed once the action gets going. The manhunt, which spans many countries in Europe, including the Netherlands, provides just that little bit of extra entertainment. The Third Wave is a good action film with plenty of good action scenes and lots of suspense, and manages to entertain well despite its long running time. It just needs a bit of a kick-start, but after that, the film certainly does not disappoint.

This third installment of the Johan Falk sequel trilogy was yet another masterpiece. Suspenseful, action-packed, and a perfect cast, right down to the criminals. And a few great scenes in The Hague, including farmers' protests with banners like "no farmers, no food"? Didn't know this took place back in 2003....

Aside from that, those were another 2 hours well spent. On to part 4! (Or part 1 of series 1).

I am currently watching the DVD box set (trilogy).

Since there are 3 complete films, I will post a review for each episode.

3. the third wave.

International crime cartels are taking over the world.

Europol wants to rein things in.

Falk's former boss who is now head of Europol,

would like to have Falk back in the fight against this,

and therefore wants a conversation with Johan Falk.

Johan, who hasn't done anything for a year now, is having that conversation.

(is no longer with the police either)

Falk actually ends up (again) unintentionally in a large web of crime.

and tries to protect his wife and the wife of a major criminal.

another excellent episode/film
