Meltdown plot
In an effort to protect themselves from an approaching meteorite, scientists fire a nuclear weapon at it. However, they fail to destroy the meteorite, so it now skims close to the Earth, throwing the Earth out of orbit. As the Earth is now getting closer to the sun, temperatures are starting to rise rapidly. Police officer Tom, his girlfriend Carly, ex-girlfriend Bonnie, daughter Kimberley, her boyfriend CJ and Carly's brother Natan, one of the scientists, flee together to the airport. Meanwhile, the city is robbed and murdered. The group must deal with rising temperatures and looters.
