Surprisingly strong action film from India, think of The Raid on a Train. It takes some getting used to the thick Bollywood style of the film, but when things get going, it really goes mercilessly. The plot is on the thin and far-fetched side, but certain story details are well found and the slowly escalating atmosphere, with even excursions into horror here and there, makes for an intense viewing experience. Not for the faint hearted; the action is blunt, brutal and bloody.

Amrit [Lakshya] decides not to accept the fact that his great love Tulika [Tanya Maniktala], daughter of the powerful Baldeo Singh Takur [Harsh Chhaya], is leaving by train for Delhi for an arranged marriage. He decides to travel secretly and asks Tulika for her hand on the spot. She has barely agreed when a gang of thugs takes the train passengers hostage. Virat [Pratap Verma] has a score to settle with Baldeo and with strongmen like Fani [Raghav Juyal] and the imposing Siddhi [Parth Tiwar] he uses Tulika as a chess piece. Amrit, an active commando, and his colleague Viresh [Abhishek Chauhan] take on them, resulting in a massacre. A completely absurd action thriller in which Amrit immediately has to take a number of stab wounds. That turns out to be no obstacle, even when he seems to be on the verge of death several times. With the subtle ironic humor of John Wick or the lightning-fast pace of The Raid, this would hardly have been an objection, but Bhat turns it into a deadly serious romantic melodrama and does not have the inventiveness to overcome the limitations of the setting. to win. What we see is a lot of bloodshed in messily edited action scenes. Too bad, because Lakshya, Juyal and Tiwar seem made for this genre.

Reasonable action film. The story is nice and simple and great fodder for a nice raw action film. And that is what they managed to do. The beginning is still a bit boring and there is a lot of repetition. But when the main character reaches the peak, he really lets go. At that moment the film grabs you by the throat and does not let go. An explosion of violence and beautifully filmed brawls in which the blood flows abundantly and enough bones break. An atypical Bollywood film, short playing time, no singing and dancing and no bombast. Visually also done despite the limited space. 3.5
