The West and the Islamic countries are at odds with each other, but the reckless, tough Jake Travers is nevertheless out for revenge on Islamic terrorists. However, he encounters a world that is too complicated to be solved by force alone. Lost within the religious and cultural palaces, mosques, temples, subterranean labyrinths and red light districts of Southeast Asia's criminal underworld, he must team up with a suspicious Islamic detective. Together they play a cat-and-mouse game with a decadent jewel thief who plots bombings and kidnappings to amass art.
