Maindrian Pace and a group of colleagues must steal 48 cars of a specific model in a week, for which they will receive $400,000 if they succeed. However, they run into trouble when they try to steal a 1973 Mach 1 Mustang. Chased by hordes of police cars, Pace flees through 7 states.

A pretty old-fashioned movie but in many aspects better than the remake from 2000. I still don't really lose sleep over the story, but in this version the cars are nicer, the chases better and, last but not least, the original doesn't have too much. suffer from Angelina Jolie. Most of the car crashes are nicely filmed, but Gone In 60 Seconds' raison d'être is largely based on the long, spectacular chase and fantastic ending. Forty minutes of chase sounds long, but it never bores for a second. I looked open-mouthed at the ridiculous number of crashes, because these are cars that make a lot of money today.

Very entertaining movie. It may take a while before it really gets going, but there were some very strong scenes in it. Of course the famous chase scene, but I would also like to mention the "musical interlude". That scene where he walks past all those cars. I believe in 40 minutes. Really very strong.

Nice car classic.
I'm not into cars myself, but the original Gone in 60 Seconds is quite nice. In fact, everything is terribly bad about this film, except for the cars and the endless chase, say the last forty minutes. In any case, the film is an absolute must for lovers of classic sports cars, but even if you can't recognize any brand like me, the car chase is pure enjoyment. Exciting, beautifully filmed and quite funny here and there.
However, I can't give it a sufficient rating, for that I expect something more from a film. 2.5*
