Gadar: Ek Prem Katha plot
During communal riots that erupt in the city, Tara protects a headstrong Sakina from a crazed mob and a bond forms that blossoms into love. The two eventually marry and have a son. The happy family, now living in Amritsar, gets the shock of their lives when Sakina learns that her father, whom she previously thought had been killed in the Amritsar riots, is alive after seeing his photo in a tattered old newspaper.
