Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness plot
"Enter a new dimension of Strange."
After a series of bizarre adventures, Doctor Strange continues his search for the "Time Stone". However, this is interrupted again when the multiverse is opened, which houses several parallel universes. The multiverse quickly proves deadly when evil versions of the heroes emerge along with monsters and cause unrest. dr. Stephen Strange therefore decides to enlist the help of Scarlet Witch to stop the threat.

Decent setback. The movie just couldn't get going. We are thrown into the middle of the action and after that a lot of quiet scenes with often hardly any sound are alternated with action, without any flow being created. Furthermore, a slightly more original approach than the average Marvel with Raimi's horror sauce, but all in all that is also a bit cowardly and does not work together with the blockbuster content. Also the characters really don't live anywhere, this remains a (also literally) bloodless whole. Too bad, because Raimi excelled in Spider-man 1 and 2 precisely in the personal, those films had a heart. But not Spider-Man 3 anymore, it contained the same error as here. This Dr. Strange is an overcrowded film that hops from scene to scene without anything tangible. Example? In the beginning there is a wedding, before that scene can get going there is already a monster. And hop, on to Wanda, who turns out to be the antagonist. And hop, next scene. And so it goes on. The action is still reasonably well put together and towards the end it gets a bit nicer, but the cgi is again very disappointing. Nice to see Patrick Stewart again. 2.0*.

Reasonable Marvel after some mediocre ones in the series. The story is a bit simple and, just like in the last Spider-Man, is made complex by all the multiverse posturing. Where Spider-Man succumbed to the excess of the multiverse, this film surprisingly remains captivating and firmly standing. Raimi knows how to turn it into an exciting and action-packed spectacle with a nice dark edge. The acting is fine. Visually it is a feast with beautiful special effects. Great movie. 3.5/4.0

Still tried a superhero movie but this is not for the older generation. Endless shooting with flashes of light and protect with 'shields'. No sense anymore. It will end well but I didn't feel like waiting for that...
