Mediocre film in which anyone can gain super powers through a new drug that is on the market. What at first looks like a somewhat original superhero movie, on closer inspection it really isn't. It also takes too long before you know how things are in the world in which the film takes place (as a result, the story and the characters are not really fascinating).

Still good, but could have been more.

Superheroes being part of society... It kind of reminds me of a modified French version of Bright. But no, they are not part of society, there is a drug in circulation that gives ordinary citizens super powers. Often with catastrophic consequences.

Young people who get the thrill of trying out their manual fire breathing, causing Paris to face arson attacks.... Lax detective Gary gets to solve it. And yes... That's it.

I don't know what it is, but despite the many experiments with superpowers, it hardly feels like a main theme. In addition, the film also wants to start rhythmically slowly. I didn't need a Hollywood gimmick, but a little more creativity could have been used. Especially with Paris in the background. The action scenes are much short and a bit more spectacle wouldn't have been so bad at all. Perhaps the budget was too limited... But then we still have computers as an alternative, don't we?

The acting is good though. The detective... But Benoit Poulvorde also has a nice presence here like an old sarcast. Callista was fun to watch too. Dry humor, nice onliners... where the film looks nice.

Sympathetic but a bit boring and unspectacular, this French film about a world in which certain people have super powers. When a strange substance comes onto the market, everyone suddenly appears to have access to these powers, which poses a danger to society. Reasonably successful in terms of acting and design, but the plot is thin and the subject has been chewed out to such an extent that we have seen this before and especially better.
