Broken Arrow is a true 90s action movie. Travolta, Slater, John Woo and his stylish action scenes shot in slow motion with lots of close ups, lots of one-liners and a woman in a somewhat thankless supporting role... The 90s in a nutshell. The story is ridiculous and Travolta and Slater sometimes have more chemistry and sexual tension than Slater and actress Samantha Mathis, but that's also because of Woo's directing. Don't think too much about it and just enjoy.

Explosive action from start to finish in the beautiful scenery around the American canyons. Furthermore, the story around that nuclear warhead theft was completely laughable, with fairly annoying main characters Deakins and Hale, who are constantly busy as toddlers about who has the biggest. Some scenes are absolutely thrilling and the explosions spectacular so don't watch this movie for more than that.
