Abare Gôemon plot

Farmer Abare Goemon is confronted by a samurai who is harassing him. In response, Goemon raises an army of peasants, defeating the samurai and his followers. When the local ruler Asakura learns of Goemon's success, he plans to recruit him and use him to fight a battle with another clan. When Goemon refuses, Asakura puts a price on his head.
