T.J. Miller says he and Ryan Reynolds have patched things up after comments the former made accusing his co-star of "weird" behaviour on the set of Deadpool.
Reynolds played Wade Wilson / Deadpool, while Miller played his sidekick Weasel in the 2016 release. On the screen, the pair appeared to share good chemistry and camaraderie, but this apparently didn't translate off-screen, as Miller complained about Reynolds' behaviour recently.
“Would I work with him again? No, I would not work with him again," he said on The Adam Carolla Show.
"But I’ve said that about Michael Bay, and now we’re friends, and I would work with him again. But I think Michael Bay is different.
“We had a really weird moment on Deadpool where he said, ‘Let’s do one more take.’ And then as the character, he was horrifically mean to me as if I’m Weasel.
"So he was like, ‘You know what’s great about you, Weasel? You’re not the star, but you do just enough exposition so that it’s funny, and then we can leave and get back to the real movie.'
“I think he should make a Deadpool 3 and continue to make movies. I just think he doesn’t like me, and I thought it was weird how he expressed that. I’m at a place in my life where I don’t need to do Deadpool 3."
Reynolds called Miller
Miller has now revealed that Reynolds contacted him after the interview in an attempt to address the bad blood between the pair. And, it seems, they are on good terms again.
"He emailed me the next day and it was a misunderstanding,” Miller said on the Jim Norton & Sam Roberts Show.
“It was very cool for him to say, ‘Hey, you know, I just heard on the show that you were upset about this.’ And I kind of said, ‘You know, I’m not,’ and then we sort of hashed it out quickly.
“He was really cool about it and he’s cool - he’s a good dude.”
Miller will not appear in Deadpool 3, but Hugh Jackman is set to make his return as Logan / Wolverine.
