John Carpenter reckons Big Trouble in Little China is primed for a video game adaptation.

'Jack Burton (Kurt Russell), a truck driver, gets dragged into the mysterious underworld beneath Chinatown where he faces an ancient sorcerer named Lo Pan (James Hong).'

It is one of the most beloved movies of the 1980s and remains a cult classic. 

Carpenter has helmed many iconic movies including Halloween, The Thing, Assault on Precinct 13, Escape from New York, Escape From L.A. and Dark Star.

The Thing, for example, received a video game adaptation in 2002 with a third-person shooter for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 2, and Xbox.

But, would Big Trouble in Little China make a better game?

Big Trouble in Little China (1986)

Jack Burton (Russell) is a tough truck driver who helps his friend Wang (Dun) find his girlfriend. He ends up in Chinatown, but to his great surprise some strange things happen there. He and Wang must fight their way through supernatural warriors to defeat Lo Pan, who wants to sacrifice Wang's girlfriend in order to regain his mortality.

"I don't know. I think, maybe ... Big Trouble in Little China, it seems to me would be a fun video game and kick ass," Carpenter replied when asked by ComicBook.com which of his movies would make a good video game.

"There's also, by the way, a Thing card game. I mean, there's a lot of these games. There's actually a They Live game. I don't know that there would ever be a Prince of Darkness game. I don't see that."

Several of Carpenter's movies have been turned into board games already.
