Er zijn zat goede zwart-witfilms. Er een kiezen is bijna waanzin. Ik ga voor Dr. Strangelove, al heeft die dan niet de mooiste zwart-witbeelden, maar dat is volgens mij ook niet het criterium hier.

Een nieuwe dag, een nieuwe "Het beste van..."

Vandaag Gojira-films.

Niet echt gemakkelijk om m'n favoriete uit de lange reeks aan te duiden. Ik twijfel tussen enkele titels, maar ga uiteindelijk toch voor Tokyo SOS, niet enkel omdat het een erg goeie film is, maar ook omdat hij wat steun kan gebruiken omdat het volgens mij toch ook één van de meest onderschatte delen is.

Ik weet het, verkeerde smaak. Maar zo slecht vond ik die hele film nog niet.

Kitamura maakte voor mij toch wel de ultieme Godzilla film. Verder zou het moeilijk kiezen zijn, maar waarschijnlijk ook Tokyo SOS of All Out Giant Attack. Die oude films zijn ook leuk, maar té knullig om in het "beste van" te zetten vind ik En nu maar hopen dat Godzilla (1998) niet te veel stemmen krijgt uit armoe.
