37-year-old Masha has a love affair with Luuk, father of two and recently divorced. Nothing seems to stand in their way until Luuk is suddenly terminally ill and Masha suddenly appears 'statusless'. Luuk's ex and his children also want to take care of him and claim him. A poignant love in which all relationships must be reexamined.

Good film in which a divorced father meets a nice new woman and falls in love. A little original story, but a compelling and still beautiful film. The mutual relationships provide the drama, but are often a bit forced. A number of poignant moments and Kim van Kooten plays a fine role. A narrow 3.5 stars.

47-year-old divorced father Cibor [Kay Greidanus] gets to know Masha [Kim van Kooten] during an outing with daughters Sofie [Hanna Obbeek] and Fleur [Lizzy van Vleuten]. Their friendship blossoms into a romance, but just when the daughters are starting to get used to the fact that their father has a new love interest, Cibor turns out to be seriously ill. Overcome with grief, Masha tries to do what she can, but she struggles with the question of how to help Sofie and Fleur, also because their mother [Lies Visschedijk] is going to play an even more important role. Standard illness-of-the-week story is easy to digest thanks to excellent acting direction and a nuanced image of a grieving process, with moments that come across as authentic. Frank Lammers has a sympathetic supporting role as Masha's sober, but compassionate brother.
