Thanks to the bizarre, witty concept and enough bloody scenes, this film will certainly not bore you. The title alone speaks volumes. The film does have a long run-up despite the short playing time, in which the story (here actually unnecessary) comes across as confusing and totally uninteresting. The cast was okay, in which Sarah Lind is not to be sneezed at. 5/10

As said before this is a project with a surprisingly high production value. Judging from the poster etc I actually expected it to be a bit more amateurish, so this is a bonus.

Opening scene with that worn out, drunken village deputy Lou is cool and sets a promising tone. Once as a werewolf it remains fun, but maybe a little less than expected. For its short playing time it also feels quite long.

In that respect I had hoped for more actual 'Wolf Cop' scenes where he cuts down the heads of scum. Those scenes are there, but not enough. The pace would have been better.

Still, it's certainly not bad. Perhaps part 2 will take a step forward.

WolfCop. The title says it all. The thought is laughable. The film is too and fortunately the makers don't pretend otherwise. It starts off with some nice elements, quite nicely. The protagonist has the French name for werewolf, there are bad guys who wear funny pig masks. There are nice textual finds. It actually seems for a moment that WolfCop is also a decent comedy.

Disappointing. The nice ideas are no more than nice ideas that are not further developed or supplemented with other nice ideas. When you are halfway through the film, you realize that WolfCop is a trivial film and boredom and mild annoyance strike. A long sit follows towards the end that in such films can sometimes be surprisingly entertaining and uplifting in nature. WolfCop does not belong to that category of films.

There is also little to experience on the visual level. In the beginning you notice that visible effort has been made to make the special effects worth watching. The further into the film the worse the effects become and the more agile the camera manoeuvres in an attempt to cover this up. The result is that the film uses an inconsistent style, which makes you suspect that the real reason for the optical decline lies in budgetary shortages.

I watched the film without providing myself with alcohol or other stimulants while watching. I watched the film with a sober view, so to speak. I advise anyone who plans to watch the film not to follow my behavior.
