Kuch Tum Kaho Kuch Hum Kahein plot

Two families, who are neighbors, had a joyful friendship years ago. The daughter of one family was planned to marry the son of the other family. However, the son ran off with another woman and the daughter committed suicide. Since then, the two families have been at war. Years later, the son who ran off with the other woman dies. He leaves behind a son and a daughter. The son, Abhay (Fardeen Khan) arrives at his family's house. He is accepted and treated as a normal family member. He soon falls in love with Mangala (Richa Pallod), and the two begin a relationship. Abhay learns about the background of the two families and makes efforts to reconcile them, with disastrous results.
