A Couch In New York is a comedy relationship film about an American psychiatrist from New York and a dancer from Paris who decide to switch apartments for a few weeks. In their new environment, curiosity about the other resident grows. The Parisienne takes care of the psychiatrist's patients, who are all very impressed by her uninhibited way of listening. The real pincher fare less well in Paris and he returns earlier than expected to then enter his own practice as a patient.
