A film in which human trafficking in Thailand is central, and in which the cast with names such as Dolph Lundgren, Tony Jaa and Michael Jai White can provide an action blast in advance. However, this Skin Trade was very slightly disappointing in that respect because my expectations were higher. Still, the film manages to be entertaining and Lundgren and Jaa are especially good in their roles, White was a bit disappointing. There is plenty of action and less interesting tension, but nevertheless Skin Trade can be called an entertaining film thanks to the decent action scenes and ditto roles, but at the same time it could have been more.

A thin story about the trafficking of young girls as an excuse for a vulgar, average fight film with a lot of exaggerated violence (to the point of ridiculous). Not my thing.

Today I rewatched this film, this time on Blu-ray.

It remains a really good action film full of fights and shootings, and the subject of human hands in Thailand and Cambodia is still a moving theme today and therefore a film with a message!

I really enjoyed this Dolph Lundgren and Tony Jaa in 1 action packed movie, also a good villain in the movie.

all in all 3.5 stars
