Wilson is a middle-aged man with strong opinions - he seems to hate everyone but his dog. Still, he tries to make contact with strangers, but the conversations remain hopelessly one-sided. After his father's death, lonely Wilson visits his ex-wife in the quiet hope that their relationship can be rekindled. That fails, but he does discover that he has a daughter, whom his ex-wife gave up for adoption shortly after birth. Wilson decides to reunite the family at all costs - a mission doomed to fail...
