De Geheime Dienst plot

In two parts (The Red Danger and The Dutch Disease), directors Vos and Van der Hout provide a detailed picture of the Internal Security Service (BVD, predecessor of the AIVD) during the Cold War. The makers string together many talking heads interviews with supporters and opponents. Usually media shy BVD people tell their story; for the first time, observation films can be seen, jerky black-and-white shots of shadowed people.
