"It's not over yet. He has returned after 15 years."
Almost 15 years ago, Ha-Kyung's daughter was kidnapped. Detective Chung-Ho works hard on the case, but his efforts are in vain. Now, with just five days left before the murder trial, Chung-Ho returns to the crime scene and discovers a white flower that has been left behind. Only the kidnapper, the police and the Ha-Kyung know where the murder took place. The detective goes back to work to find the killer before the case expires. Grandfather Han-Chul leaves his granddaughter in a playground to answer the phone in his apartment. Han-Chul soon discovers that his granddaughter has been kidnapped. Police notice similarities between this kidnapping and the kidnapping of Ha-Kyung's daughter 15 years ago. Chung-Ho is once again involved in the new case, while Ha-Kyung herself sets out to find her daughter's killer.

Excellent thriller with a few surprising twists, which ensure that the tension continues to increase and the outcome becomes more and more uncertain. A feather in the cap for debuting director Geun-seop Jeong, who wrote the cleverly woven story himself. Again, excellent acting by Jeong-hwa Eom, with her versatility one of the fixed values of Korean cinema.

A film where agents have to solve a kidnapping that is very similar to an unsolved case from 15 years earlier, through flashbacks both cases pass by almost synchronously. Great film and very entertaining, although in my opinion it is qualitatively inferior to another South Korean mystery thriller: Memories of Murder (2003) which it is somewhat similar to in terms of setting and atmosphere, but which in my opinion is better constructed. 3.5*

Ingeniously constructed South Korean thriller about an unsolved kidnapping case that is revived 15 years later on the anniversary date. It takes a while for the plot and characters to become captivating and director Chung Keun-Sup initially tries a bit too hard to make things exciting, but gradually this turns out to be a truly exciting and fascinating mystery.
