In the first part of this miniseries, the preparation for the heist and finally the train robbery itself.
In the second part, detective work and the administration of justice.
Both are well and engagingly developed. More detail in the detective work might have overloaded the film a bit.
Thus, a fairly balanced miniseries with good acting.

Watched it again and I still think it's a fantastic mini-series. Well, series. The whole film is divided into two beautiful 1.5-hour segments. Part 1, I suppose, is the best part. 5 solid stars. What an incredibly good build-up to robbing the money train. Everything was thought of, although the execution failed on one important detail. that farm was their undoing in the end The big heist was world news and my old mother remembers it like it was yesterday. Unfortunately, the second part is a bit weaker. And especially towards the end, we miss exactly how he was eventually discovered. A shame! By the way, I found the remark in the bar funny: "Thanks to all the informants." And then the face of that annoying chief. Delightful! The soundtrack works well too, by the way. In short, a fine film in two parts.
