You can not be serious. What a terrible movie. I am really open to 'different' and 'out of the box' thinking and looking. But this is really disgusting. Tom Hardy looks good, but constantly in a dark car. That is really unattractive. What a waste.

It'll be pretty much the simplest premise ever: Tom Hardy sits in a car for eighty-five minutes. He calls and gets called. And yet it is sufficient. There is strength in Locke's simplicity, especially through the beautiful cinematography (the nighttime lighting of the highways) and Hardy's strong acting (mimicking, intonation, emotion). The script could have been better in my opinion, not all dialogues were equally strong and the intertwined storylines never really touched me. Fortunately, Knight has decided to cut the film short, allowing Locke to take his final exit at just the right moment.

3*

Locke

Can actually measure me completely with the response from Lovelyboy above. The movie is by no means boring. From minute 1 you are sucked into the piece of story that completely turns Ivan Locke's life upside down. And you really only see Hardy in a car. Yet it remained fascinating, because you want to know how it ends, what the developments are. He reminded me a bit of Wheelman , but with completely different situations.

This movie is definitely worth watching.

3.5 stars.
