Portrait of Gisèle d'Ailly van Waterschoot van der Gracht. As the daughter of an Austrian baroness and a Dutch geologist, she led a nomadic life as a child, which determined the rest of her life. She traveled all over the world, with America, Austria, France, the Netherlands and especially Greece becoming the main stopping places. From an early age she knew she would become a painter, a passion she inherited from her father. Over the years she has built up a large and very diverse oeuvre.
