Nippon-koku Furuyashiki-mura plot

Ogawa Productions' first major film from the Yamagata period. When bad weather threatens the harvest, the crew's attention is drawn to a village high in the mountains: Furuyashiki. However, the film soon digresses into the history of the village. Set amid the Japanese mountains, Ogawa discovers a village still suffering the trauma of global war and trying to survive as all the children flee to the big cities.
